Simple Canaan Honey Drink

A gentle, warming beverage made with honey, lemon, and mild spices, ideal for hydration and appetite control.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon raw honey
  • 1/2 small lemon, juiced
  • 1 cup warm water (150 to 160 F or 65 to 71 C)
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon or a 1/2-inch slice of fresh ginger (optional)
  • A pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Warm the water until it reaches 150 to 160 F.
  2. Add honey and stir until it’s fully dissolved.
  3. Add the juice of 1/2 small lemon and stir to combine.
  4. If desired, stir in a pinch of cinnamon or a slice of fresh ginger.
  5. Let the drink sit for 30 seconds to 1 minute to meld the flavors, then adjust sweetness or acidity to taste.

Notes

For a chilled version, allow to cool and add ice. Adjust honey and lemon to suit personal taste.
