Turmeric Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
  • 12 cups water
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Honey (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients: turmeric powder, ginger, water, black pepper, lemon, and honey.
  2. In a small pot, bring 1-2 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium heat.
  3. Add the turmeric powder and sliced ginger to the boiling water. Reduce heat to simmer and let it brew for 10 minutes.
  4. After 10 minutes, stir in a pinch of black pepper.
  5. Using a fine mesh strainer, pour the tea into a mug, leaving the solids behind.
  6. Squeeze in fresh lemon juice and stir in honey to taste.
  7. Enjoy your turmeric tea warm, savoring the aromatic and spicy essence.

Notes
