Vegan Jelly with Agar-Agar

A refreshing and guilt-free vegan dessert made with agar-agar, perfect for weight loss and satisfying sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons agar-agar powder
  • 2 cups fruit juice (orange, apple, or berry)
  • 2 cups water
  • Natural sweetener (maple syrup or agave syrup)
  • Fruit pieces (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather all the ingredients: agar-agar powder, fruit juice, water, and any sweeteners or fruit pieces.
  2. In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of water and 2 cups of your favorite fruit juice. Heat over medium heat.
  3. Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of agar-agar powder, stirring continuously until dissolved (about 5 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in your natural sweetener. Adjust sweetness as needed.
  5. If using, fold in fruit pieces before pouring the mixture into molds.
  6. Allow to cool at room temperature for 15 minutes, then refrigerate for 2-3 hours to set.
  7. Once firm, remove from molds or cut into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

Ensure that the agar-agar is fully dissolved and allow sufficient chilling time for the best texture.
